Full bloom

From a recent walk to a local garden for some more camera practice time. I turned the brilliance down and the shadows up a bit on this giant hibiscus blossom. I love the color contrast between the bright pink and dark red leaves.

  1. Hibiscuses are such wonderful and attractive plants.

The bees and the pollinators can settle well in them.

We talk a lot about hue and saturation in photography.

And the brightness/shadows and the contrast.

This is from a garden within Central Park, but we also have several garden patches nearby of native plants, pollinator-friendly things, and butterfly gardens!
